Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival and pickup from Entebbe airport

On your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be welcomed by our company English driver for your transfer to Kampala city to check in at your reserved hotel/ lodge, you will have a briefing about your 7 days of Uganda’s best wildlife safari, dinner, and an overnight.

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

Have a morning breakfast, and drive to Murchison Falls in the northwest of Uganda with an en-route stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a white rhino encounter adventure which will provide you an opportunity to explore them close to them where you will be allowed to take pictures for fantastic memories during wildlife safari encounter at Ziwa rhino’s sanctuary. You will have lunch and then proceed to the largest national park in northwest Uganda, formerly Kabalenga National Park, for the game drive and hiking at the top of the falls. It will take you 6-7 hours to reach Murchison Falls including the stopovers, having met Murchison Falls is breathtaking. Dinner and overnight at Pakuba Lodge

Day 3: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise at the bottom of the falls and transfer to Kibale forest national park.

Early morning, have breakfast while preparing for the morning game drive. Drive to the park for a morning game drive to explore the wildness of Murchison Falls where you will be able to spot different wild animals like lions, hyenas, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, and waterbucks among others, you will also spot different bird species like black headed lawing, African jacana, grey crowned, shoebill among other. After the morning game drive, drive back to your hotel for a short break as you are relaxing from the tiresome game drive into the park, have lunch, and later go for your afternoon boat cruise to the bottom of the falls where you will be able to spot numerous numbers of animals like hippopotamus, crocodiles and bird species like shoebill stork, kingfisher and many others. Hiking at the top of the falls will leave you with a memorable experience during the 7-day wildlife safari in Uganda. Drive

to Kibale National Park for chimpanzee tracking and a Bigodi wetland nature walk. During your safari to Kibale National Park, you will have a stop in Fort Portal for lunch, after lunch, you will continue to Kibale National Park. Have dinner and overnight in Isunga Lodge.

Day 4: Chimpanzee trekking and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Wake up early in the morning to have breakfast. Drive to the park information center for briefing and then start trekking chimpanzees, during the chimpanzee trekking we expect to see several primate species like chimpanzees and black and white colobus. L`hoest, vervet, and baboons, you will also spot many bird species, reptiles, and a colorful variety of butterflies. In case you meet chimpanzees; you will be allowed to spend an hour with them and return to the hotel for lunch. Afternoon you will have a nature walk in Bigodi Swamp where you will be able to see numerous wildlife species like primates such as blue monkeys and baboons.

The walk will therefore take you to Batooro and Bakiga which are the indigenous communities neighboring the park. This walk through the community will offer you knowledge of coffee making, local herbs, and knowledge about the behavior of local communities. Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park in the western part of Uganda which takes you 2 and a half hour’s drive. Queen Elizabeth National Park is one of the popular national parks in Uganda because of its diverse ecosystem such as beautiful lakes, savanna grassland, and fertile wetlands which attracts many wildlife species such as mammals and bird species. The park is also known for the Kazinga channel boat cruise and for harboring the tree-climbing lions in the Ishasha sector southwest of Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Day 5: Queen Elizabeth National Park – Morning Game Drive, afternoon boat cruise and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

Wake early in the morning. Have a morning breakfast and later drive to search for wildlife on the Kasenyi track. During the track in Kasenyi, you will be able to spot different wildlife species like buffaloes, lions, elephants, warthogs, waterbuck, hyenas, Uganda kob, and many others. After you have done your adventurous track in Kasenyi side, return to your hotel, refresh yourself, have lunch, and thereafter you will go for an afternoon boat cruise at Kazinga Channel. During the boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, you will be able to spot numerous wildlife such as crocodiles, hippopotamuses, elephants, and many others, after the boat cruise you will drive back to the hotel, and then checkout. Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park home of mountain gorillas and golden monkeys. The drive will take a 2–3-hour drive to reach Bwindi impenetrable national park. Check-in, have dinner, and overnight in Bakiga Lodge.

Day 6: Gorilla trekking and Batwa visit

Wake up for an early morning breakfast, and drive to the park head office for a short briefing on specific details about the way of life of mountain gorillas and how to behave during tracking. Morning mountain gorilla trekking can take 2-7 hours depending on the movements of the gorilla family that you have been given. During mountain gorilla trekking you need to be physically fit because you will be tracking through the steep, densely forested hills and muddy gorges. Finally, after meeting mountain gorillas in their privileged homes feeding and swinging in the branches of trees. You will be allowed to spend one hour with them as you stand 6 meters away and you are allowed to take memorable pictures as many as you want. After your magical encounter, you will return to the information center to be awarded your gorilla trekking certificate, have lunch, and wait for an evening Batwa visit. Have an evening walk where you will visit the Batwa community who were the first inhabitants of Bwindi’s impenetrable forest national park. Here you will be able to acquire knowledge on how Batwa people live and enjoy local storytelling, songs, and dance. Return to your reserved hotel for dinner, then overnight.

Day 7: Return to Kampala City / Entebbe International Airport.

After morning breakfast. Drive to Kampala City / Entebbe International Airport. You will have an en-route stop at Igongo Culture Center and another one at the equator in Kayabwe, and thereafter you will continue to Kampala/ Entebbe

Airport for your return flight. This will end your 7-day Uganda best wildlife safari.
